The year 2024 marks the fifth time the Archdiocese of Kingston and Divine Word Missionaries have teamed up to publish a Bible diary for Catholics in Jamaica.

Each page of the 2024 Bible diary features a biblical reflection on the day’s Scripture reading.

Father Manuel Antao SVD, a Divine Word Missionary at St. Matthew parish in Ontario, Canada, coordinated the project. Before being assigned to Canada, Father Antao served as administrator at the Co-Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Basseterre, St. Kitts, in the Caribbean.

The Bible diaries will be delivered to parishes throughout the archdioceses of Kingston and Montego Bay. Next year, the team hopes to make the book available to more people as part of the Society of the Divine Word’s 150th anniversary celebration.

Divine Word Father Bernard Latus, pastor of Church of Reconciliation in Portmore, Jamaica, recruited 12 writers, including five additional Divine Word Missionaries, to pen each of the 366 daily reflections.
