Robert M. Myers Archives
The Robert M. Myers Archives—which is a part of the Chicago Province—collects, preserves, and makes available the historical record of the Society of the Divine Word in North America. It serves Divine Word Missionaries, provincial staff, and visiting researchers.
The archives exists to preserve the history of the Chicago Province as it developed within the worldwide missionary order. In addition, the archives safeguards the written and oral records of the individual accomplishments of Divine Word Missionaries and provides knowledge of the community’s heritage, an appreciation of the dedication and sacrifice of those who preceded them and an incentive to keep the missionary spirit alive.
For researchers, the archives offers a way to study the rich religious, historical and cultural heritage of the work of the Society of the Divine Word missionaries in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and worldwide missions.
