Novitiate 2007 - 2008 From Left to Right: Richard Dung Vu, Peter Son Le, Sinh Hong Trinh, Paul Huy Nguyen, Jesus Mata Martinez, Hoa Nhu Nguyen The six men pictured above arrived at Techny on August 22 to begin their year of novitiate. We welcome them and include brief biographical information. When you come to Techny, introduce yourself to them. Richard Dung Vu (age 32) came to the United States from Vietnam with his family in 1994. He entered the English-language program at Divine Word College in 2001 and then completed the college degree program graduating this past May. Peter Son Le (age 33) came from Vietnam to the United States after high school. He graduated from Divine Word College, worked for two years, and spent the past year as an associate at Divine Word Theologate taking courses at Catholic Theological Union. Sinh Hong Trinh (age 39) was born in Vietnam and remained there until 1989. He completed his B.A. in philosophy at Xavier University in the Philippines in 2002. He came to Epworth as an associate in August 2006 to study English. Paul Huy Nguyen (age 32) came to the United States in 1995 from Vietnam with his family. He completed high school in Chicago and received a bachelor’s degree at Northeastern Illinois University, and then studied philosophy at DWC as an associate for one year. Jesus Mata Martinez (age 27) immigrated to the United States three years ago from Matamoros, Mexico, and joined his family in Arkansas. He came to Epworth in 2004 for English-language and philosophy courses. Hoa Nhu Nguyen (age 23) was born in Vietnam and came to the United States with his family at the age of seven. He completed elementary and high school in southern California before enrolling at Divine Word College as a freshman in 2002. |
