March 27, 2013 —The Society of the Divine Word - Chicago Province invites the faithful to one of dozens of parishes in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean for Holy Week liturgies. Although not a parish, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Techny Towers Conference and Retreat Center also will offer services for Holy Week, Solemn Triduum and Easter.

July 4, 2012 — Rev. Robert Kisala, SVD, a leading thinker in the sociology of religions, has been elected vice superior general of the Society of the Divine Word, the world’s largest order of Catholic missionary priests and brothers.

July 3, 2012 — Rev. Heinz Kulüke, SVD, has been named superior general of the Society of the Divine Word. The German-born priest succeeds Rev. Antonio Pernia, SVD, as the missionary order’s worldwide spiritual and administrative leader.

May 26, 2012 — Most Reverend Curtis J. Guillory, SVD, bishop of Beaumont, Texas, ordained Divine Word Missionaries Lan Tu Luong and Nam Quoc Vu on Saturday, May 26, at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit in Techny, Ill.
