Mission Service Opportunities

Mission Service Opportunities are designed to be flexible so that you can serve where and when it works best for you. Perhaps you are near one of our sites and can come on a Saturday once a month – great! Perhaps you want to spend a week of your vacation at one of the sites to work on a project – wonderful! We will coordinate your mission service with the parishes in a way that works for you.

Current opportunities for mission service in the Chicago Province include:

Other Possibilities:
If you want to know if an SVD site not listed above is in your area, please contact us.  We can put you in touch with the local SVD members to see if there are possibilities for volunteer service there.

*Projects that work directly with youth require a criminal background check and training in safe environment.  You can usually get these through your home parish or diocese.

Please contact Brother Bernie Spitzley, SVD, at missionusc@gmail.com for more information on any of these opportunities and to begin the application process.
